EFFE’s International Jury for Europe’s Festivals Label and Awards 2017-2018 announced
The European Festivals Association (EFA) announces the International Jury for the European Label for Festivals: the jury is chaired by Sir Jonathan Mills, former Director of the Edinburgh International Festival and includes 9 personalities from the arts and festival scene worldwide. The Jury’s main task is to select the festivals to receive the EFFE Label and Award.
They will meet for the first time in Brussels on 5 April to discuss the EFFE Label recipients 2017-2018. This meeting follows the work of 95 national experts who have evaluated their country's applicant festivals. This list of festivals will be announced on 4 May in Wiesbaden during the EFA Arts Festivals Summit hosted by the Rheingau Musik Festival and featured on www.effe.eu, Europe’s festival Calendar. This up-to-date portal is designed for those who've never been to a festival, while seasoned art-lovers can discover new experiences to combine with planned journeys -- or events worth making a special trip for.
Next to the broad selection of festivals with the EFFE Label, the EFFE International Jury selects the EFFE Award nominees. The Award winners will be announced and celebrated at the EFFE Award Ceremony in Brussels in September 2017.
