Every two years starting from 2000, Tallinn City Theatre organises an international theatre festival named the Midwinter Night’s Dream. Traditionally the festival takes place during the last five days of December.

Pühalepa Music festival takes place in Estonia on the island Hiiumaa every year in August. The festival focuses on early music and contemporary works, always including music by Estonian composer Erkki-Sven Tüür, who was born and lives on Hiiumaa.
