Valletta International Baroque Festival
not awarded

Valletta International Baroque Festival is a new festival in Malta’s capital: the city was founded in 1566 and therefore provides a historically fitting backdrop to the baroque concerts during 2 weeks in January. The festival is organized by Europe’s oldest national theatre, Teatru Manoel, established by Grand Master Anton Manoel de Vilhena in 1731. Other venues are the magnificent St John’s Co-Cathedral, atmospheric churches, the splendid Grand Masters’ Palace and other baroque buildings.
