Guimarães noc noc is held annually on the first weekend of October when all artistic disciplines are exhibited in unconventional venues: private houses and studios, cafés, city squares and streets. This arrangement requires commitment, involvement and the sharing of responsibilities between artists, organizers and the community. All artists, projects and venues create an artistic route, a path that runs along the UNESCO-listed centre of Guimarães, followed by map for a voyage of discovery.
The Olympus Festival started in 1972 in Pieria in the Central Macedonia region, and continues to offer high-quality artistic events every July and August. The programme includes ancient and modern theatre, dance, music and visual arts, performed by Greek and international artists. Venues are rich in historical and cultural value, such as the ancient theatre of Dion, the Platamon castle, Ancient Pydna, Ancient Livithra, the Mediterranean Mosaics Centre and the church of Panagia Kontariotissas.
