Throughout the year, the Berliner Festspiele puts on a wealth of imaginative and intelligent festivals, high-quality exhibition projects and individual events in the Haus der Berliner Festspiele and the Martin-Gropuis-Bau. At its core is work by contemporary and international artists, showcased in the festivals MaerzMusik, Theatertreffen, Musikfest Berlin and Jazzfest Berlin, as well as exhibitions in the Martin-Gropius-Bau. Berliner Festspiele are starting a new format which will be launched in the autumn of 2016.
Cerealia is a festival dedicated to all grains, reminiscent of the ancient Roman rites of Vesta and Ceres. Cerealia involves all the countries of the Mediterranean and every year a different country is invited to be the focus of the festival. It is an occasion for cultural exchange on issues such as culture, nutrition, environment, economy, land, society and tourism. Festival activities, which take place across Italy, include performances, food tastings, guided tours, conferences and workshops for children and adults.
The major objective of the Nicosia Pop Up festival is to gather in the main shopping artery of Nicosia whatever innovative, inventive and creative exists today in the fields of entrepreneurship, entertainment and culture. Through the organization of the festival, we aim at the revitalization and revival of Makarios Avenue by boosting entrepreneurship, either through commercial activity or through innovation, and the emergence of new talents through creation.
