RäimeWest (Baltic herring festival)

Located in Tõstamaa on the south east coast, RäimeWest is an all-family festival celebrating the Baltic herring, and related fishing traditions, coastal heritage, crafts and fish cuisine. Just as the Baltic herring season brings life to coastal villages, so the festival revives old traditions and introduces fishing heritage to younger generations. The programme includes lectures, exhibitions, workshops, music, folk dances and films, and throughout the day there is a food and handicrafts fair.
