Flanders Festival Kortrijk ‘Classic with a Twist’ is the youngest member of the Flanders Festival family. This compelling music festival, set in South West Flanders, squarely in the centre of the Eurometropolis Lille-Kortrijk-Tournai region, brings a programme that crosses the boundaries of many genres: from classical to contemporary, compositions that tell stories, projects and in which old and new spontaneously mix. Music is the driving force of this festival, which however also actively seeks cross-fertilization with other disciplines.
Festival of national importance, Varaždin Baroque Evenings, is the most prominent music-scene event in the central Croatia, founded in 1971. Nowadays, it is one of the best-known festival, specialized in early music, in the world. Festival is under the permanent patronage of President of the Republic of Croatia and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, and it has national status for twenty years. Campus Festival held annually in the Great Forest city park of Debrecen has become the biggest open-air youth music event in the Eastern part of Hungary by now. Having an overall attendance of 98.000 for four days and offering a wide range of programs from mainstream pop to underground, jazz and world music, also including other art forms like theatre, cinema and outdoor activities, Campus is now an important factor in the Hungarian festival scene.
