The Cyprus Rialto World Music Festival presents contemporary groups and virtuosi musicians in a series of concerts drawing their inspiration from the traditions of the Mediterranean region. The free-entry festival takes place every July at Heroes’ Square in Limassol and at various squares in other Cypriot cities and includes a programme of film screenings. In 2012 the Rialto Residency programme, based in villages around Limassol, was added for Cypriot musicians and guest artists from aboard.
The 30th Rheingau Musik Festival will be held from 24 June to 2 September 2017. 155 concerts will be held at 42 venues in the Rheingau and its neighbouring regions. The main venues are Eberbach Monastery, Johannisberg Palace, Vollrads Palace and the Wiesbaden Assembly Rooms. These are supplemented by numerous churches and wineries. This year’s Artist in Residence will be the pianist Igor Levit, who with music from Beethoven to Rzewski will be demonstrating his impressive range. With our focus performer Anna Lucia Richter we portray for the first time a singer.
