The Frome Festival is a ten day community arts festival held annually in early July in venues in and around the town of Frome, Somerset, SW England. The Festival has been running as a multi-arts event since 2001, hosting over 180 events ranging from national and international performers in rock, opera, classical music, comedy and theatre to local theatre and performance groups. Workshops and exhibitions also play a vital part as well as walks and talks. Frome has a range of excellent venues including the Merlin Theatre, The Cheese and Grain hall, Cooper Hall and Black Swan Arts.
Science in the City is Malta’s science and arts festival in the last week of September. As part of European Researchers’ Night, on Friday Valletta’s streets are filled with art and entertainment linked to science: street art installations, science busking, music, art exhibitions, puppet shows, live experiments, talks, debates, comedy, dance, theatre and much more. Over 24,000 people attend every year bringing a memorable night to everyone. In 2017 our big night is on the 29 September and our theme around Futures, or how today’s research will shape the society of tomorrow.
