The Mantova Chamber Music Festival is much more than a music festival. Thematic tours, cultural
itineraries and workshops are interwoven with dozens of musical performances. This Festival, taking place in
Mantua's most breath-taking historical palaces and churches, is in fact an international meeting of
artists, a homage to and a reinvention of chamber music, and a concrete action for the promotion of
Mantua's UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the celebration of Mantua’s nomination as Italian Cultural
Capital City 2016.
The main aim of the Festival is to give the visitors of Mantua's historical sites, high-quality
musical programs, presented by experts in an informal, yet accurate way. Visitors have the opportunity to
listen to dozens of “short concerts” in rooms similar in structure and acoustic quality to those in which
the genre of chamber music was conceived and composed. Music lovers finally find here a more authentic
listening dimension.

· 5 days
· Almost 200 concerts of 20-40 minutes, from early morning till late night
· over 150 interpreters from Italy and from all over the world
· dozens of chamber concerts in Mantua's most beautful sites
· lectures, musical itineraries, thematic tours (in Italian, English, and German)
