There hovers a euphoric and simple atmosphere. This two-day typically Belgian festival is now part of the celebrations of the Belgian National Day.
The Rapla Church Music Festival, which would have been banned during the Soviet occupation, could start with its events in 1993 with the help of Finnish church musicians. The Festival aims to bring great music even to the smallest country churches. The programmes have included grand oratorios, performances of Estonian top-soloists and ensembles as well as internationally acclaimed guests. Since 2010 the Rapla Summer Academy with master classes for singers, conductors and instrumentalists has been held within the festival.
