Lucca Comics and Games

not awarded

Lucca Comics and Games was born – with a different name - in 1966, so it is probably the oldest comics festival in the world. Since 1993 it started to include games and others media, such as films, animation and music, and now it’s a fully fledged cross-media show, attracting more than 500,000 attendees every autumn. Its most distinctive point is that it’s not held in an anonymous convention centre, but takes over the historical centre of Lucca, a beautiful Tuscan city full of art and history.
