Over 10 days in April the Tallinn International Festival Jazzkaar brings the brightest and most interesting stars and exciting new discoveries from the international and Estonian jazz scenes to the capital. The event, which began in 1990, has become the biggest jazz festival in the Baltics, programming concerts with more than 3,000 performers from 60 countries. Some of the world class names that have played in the past include Bobby McFerrin, Angie Stone, Chick Corea and Dianne Reeves.
During the Culture Night (former Let it be Night!) the squares, streets, parks, and the most unexpected spaces in Vilnius are filled with the projects of various types of artistic projects: music, dance, theatre, cinema, photography, state-of-the-art installations, etc. A one-night festival was first organized in Lithuania in 2007 preparing for the events of Vilnius – European Capital of Culture 2009.
Festival of International Alternative Theatre is a thirty years old fact in the history of Montenegrin theatre. Its concept was created out of the wish to open a completely new space for sharing artistic values. FIAT was created out of original need to transform existing artistic energy into a peculiarity, into a critical mass that would reach the furthest borders in theatre, break the old and examine the new models of onstage expression and all that rising above the foundations of professional and classics.
