Maggio all’Infanzia is a multidisciplinary, arts and theatre festival that has been in operation since 1997. Its aim is not simply to be a festival for childhood, but also to be a festival of childhood, rediscovering the creativity of childhood and its hunger to discover. The 2017 edition took place first in Bari, with the focus on children’s theatre, and then in Naples, where the theme was schools. Workshops, training sessions, debates and shows involved children, teachers and parents.
FESTIVAL OF WONDER: Silkeborg International Festival of Puppet- Object, and Visual Theatre Denmark present theatre for adults, for children, films, exhibitions, workshops, masterclasses, and backstage talks. The intention is to invite events which add something new and inspiring to the art forms and to be a meeting place for exchanging new ideas. That goes for the Danish and international theatres, international festival directors, young talents, and the general audiences. 110 events in 5 days.
Festival XS presents about 20 short plays over 3 days, ranging from 5 to 25 minutes long. Theatre, dance, circus, object and puppet theatre come together in creative profusion. Offering artists space in which to experiment, XS is also an invitation to be daring and to innovate. By producing short works, companies are free to explore new territories and take risks. XS is a meeting place between the spectator and the performer, between different aesthetics and ideas, to discover what might happen.
