Over 300,000 visitors are expected in Ulm and Neu-Ulm, as artists and guests from the countries along the Danube meet on both banks of the river for a great, cross-border celebration of encounters. Here people meet to experience art and culture, with the diversity and specialities of the Danube region fêted over the ten days of the festival. The international program offers a vibrant mix of different artistic genres, some well known, some less so, with 150 individual events, most of them free to enjoy, including music from classical to jazz, Balkan Beats, world music, folk and pop, as well as literature, theatre, dance, projects, conferences, discussions and exhibitions.
The Danube countries’ market with its food and craftsmen stalls reflect the basic idea to convey the diversity of cultures along the Danube and give a European and global outlook. The main objective of the festival is the encouter of the different cultures along the Danube.
