The 3-day Balkanik Festival takes place in Bucharest in September and consists in concerts by renowned bands from the Balkans and Europe, an arts and crafts fair with participants from minority groups in Romania, and visual arts exhibitions of photography and painting illustrating the life and culture of minorities. The festival is a socio-cultural project, aiming at creating a bridge of understanding between the country’s minorities and encouraging cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue.
Gender Bender is a multidisciplinary international festival introducing the Italian public to new imagery related to gender identity, sexual orientation and body representation stemming from contemporary culture. Held annually in Bologna since 2003, it is a genuine model of how differences can contribute to the construction of a richer and more open society. The festival offers a series of events ranging from film showings, to theatre and dance performances, art exhibitions, concerts and talks.
TBILISI INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF THEATRE was founded in 2009 with the mission to popularize Tbilisi, its culture and its unique creative and cherishing atmosphere. The Festival runs every year by the end of September, beginning of October and is one of the major events in International life of Georgia.
