Title
Festival Pablo Casals de Prades
not awarded
Festival Pablo Casals de Prades was founded in 1950 by the Catalan cellist in the glorious setting of the Pyrenees. Faithful to the spirit of its founder, it presents, alongside the most famous masterpieces, lesser known classical and contemporary works, performed by about 40 international soloists during 3 weeks in summer. Concerts mostly take place in the Romanesque abbey of St-Michel de Cuxà, and the festival includes an academy for international students and a composing competition.
