BE FESTIVAL exists to bring the best emerging European theatre companies and visual artists to Birmingham and beyond, offering opportunities to showcase their work; develop and exchange their ideas and practice; create extraordinary new work together; and engage with audiences in unique and innovative ways, with the aim of growing audiences for international theatre both locally and nationally. All of BE FESTIVAL’s year round activity has at its heart the desire to “cross borders” (cultural, social, linguistic, art form) and to nurture new talent.
The Aura Festival is an invitation to discover the inexplicable Sintra, a journey through time and space for fictions and stories linked to the night and the cultural landscape.
The route runs between MU.SA - Sintra Arts Museum and Sintra Village (Estefânia and historic center). The residents and visitors are invited to rediscover in this path of light another way of experiencing everyday landscapes in their poetic, historical, mythical and political dimensions.
Andersen Festival is a multidisciplinary urban/street festival linked to the Literary Prize Andersen Premio Baia delle Favole devoted to the unreleased tales. In 2017 the Festival complete 20 years and the Literary Prize 50 years.
