Maggio all’Infanzia is a multidisciplinary, arts and theatre festival that has been in operation since 1997. Its aim is not simply to be a festival for childhood, but also to be a festival of childhood, rediscovering the creativity of childhood and its hunger to discover. The 2017 edition took place first in Bari, with the focus on children’s theatre, and then in Naples, where the theme was schools. Workshops, training sessions, debates and shows involved children, teachers and parents.
When visitors step inside the world of AGITART they experience high-quality performances by national and international artists, performed in the streets and public spaces of Figueres. The festival offers a sample of contemporary art and culture, with a focus on contemporary dance. For 3 days in early July the city is infiltrated by artists and art: street performances, creative workshops, exhibitions and much more, aiming to promote exchanges among artists, as well as educate the public.
Having been held every two years since 2000, the panoptikum festival has become a popular event exploring the wide range of children’s theatre coming out of Bavaria and elsewhere in Europe. It’s a place to meet theatre professionals and festival organizers from Germany and beyond and enjoy Nuremberg’s hospitable festival atmosphere. Panoptikum is organized by Theater Mummpitz and presents 10 productions from at least 7 European countries plus 10 Bavarian productions for children aged 4 to 12.
