Founded in 2001, Actoral is an international and interdisciplinary annual festival based in Marseille, gathering a dozen local cultural venues during 3 weeks to present new works by about 50 artists. Waves Festival is an international festival of contemporary theatre with a focus on innovative and original works. The programme is artistically ambitious and it presents both indoor and open-air performances, as well as modern world music. It is one of the biggest events of its kind in Denmark and in 2017 it will run for 6 consecutive days with a programme from 10 in the morning to midnight. It takes place in the small coastal town of Vordingborg, which turns into a vibrant festival zone during the week.
