The 15th Mersin International Music Festival will bring together stars from Turkey and abroad in the city’s historic places between May 2 and 28 2016. Our purposes are to highlight the historical and cultural heritage of our city, to increase the visibility of Mersin , besides ; to give our city exciting, educational and creative experience with festival. In addition, the strengthening of world peace through the development of intercultural dialogue is aimed.
NEXT is the international performing arts festival for the cross-border Eurometropolis Lille-Kortrijk-Tournai, created and organized by 5 French and Belgian culture and arts houses. The programme focuses on referential work and new developments in contemporary theatre, dance and performance. Every November around 35 international companies present their work in some 13 cities and 18 venues of the Eurometropolis. A network of festival buses take spectators around the region to watch performances.
Valletta International Baroque Festival is a new festival in Malta’s capital: the city was founded in 1566 and therefore provides a historically fitting backdrop to the baroque concerts during 2 weeks in January. The festival is organized by Europe’s oldest national theatre, Teatru Manoel, established by Grand Master Anton Manoel de Vilhena in 1731. Other venues are the magnificent St John’s Co-Cathedral, atmospheric churches, the splendid Grand Masters’ Palace and other baroque buildings.
