Euro Chamber Music Festival (ECMF) is the largest international festival of chamber music in northern Poland attracting renowned artists such as Leszek Mozdzer, Lars Danielsson, Apollon Musagete Quartett, Jean-Marc Fessard, Bartosz Koziak and MozART group. As well as featuring established musicians and premieres, ECMF promotes gifted up-and-coming artists through its unique Baltic String Duo Competition and Baltic Music Workshops. ECMF was founded in 2012 by Duo del Gesu - Christoph Tymendorf (violist) and Arnaud Kaminski (violinist) on the occasion of the EURO 2012. Since then the festival has developed into one of the most important events in the Poland and remains under the same artistic management. More than 2,000 visitors every year come to listen to top chamber ensembles from around the world play in a broad programme of classical concerts between 21 June (Fête de la Musique) and 27 July in the once beautiful and historic Hanseatic city of Gdańsk. Since its inception in 2012, the festival—co-financed by the City of Gdańsk—has organized over 100 concerts by some 150 artists from 15 countries in Europe, South America and Asia.
