Sommerblut is a cultural forerunner. The Cologne based festival thinks ahead if it comes to developments in society. Sommerblut shares the vision of cultural participation for all human beings – irrespective of physical or mental abilities, ethnic or social background, age, gender or religion. Sommerblut is experimental and touching. The festival takes risks, breaks up with conventional ways of presenting art and unites diverse perspectives. Sommerblut presents dance, music, visual arts, performance, theatre and literature.
It is most known festival not only in Macedonia but aslo worldwide.The beginning of the festival happened on the remote year 1961 midsummer - on august 4th with the performance of the opera singer Ana Lipsha Tofovic. Since the year 1961 until now, the Ohrid Summer Festival traditionally is held every year from 12th of July until 20th of August . As a manifestation with high artistic values, since the beginning of 1994 Ohrid Summer is a member of the European Festival Association.
Belgrade Irish Festival is the premiere multi-disciplinary festival celebrating its 5th anniversary of bringing contemporary Irish culture to the Balkan region with dance, theater, film, culinary arts, music, photography as just some of the artistic expressions presented.
